Everything that shoots back

General Voss's Black Tide fights on land, sea and in the air. Learn what you are up against before you take off.

Infantry

Small, fast and everywhere. Cheap to shoot down, dangerous in numbers.

  • Rifleman

    Basic foot soldier with a rifle. Weak alone, but whole squads guard every base and bridge.

  • Sniper

    Hides on rooftops and in the snow and hits your helicopter from far away. Find him before he finds you.

  • Grenadier

    Lobs grenades at your helicopter. Stay mobile and take him out first.

  • Stinger gunner

    Fires anti-air missiles straight at you. Strafe him before he locks on.

Ground forces and defenses

Guns, launchers and fuel dumps. Wreck them to win the mission.

  • Gun turret

    Fixed twin-gun emplacement that sprays bursts of fire. Hit it from the side and keep moving.

  • Anti-air gun

    Heavy flak cannon built to shred helicopters. Priority target in later theaters.

  • Fuel tank

    Enemy fuel depot. Blow it up for a big explosion that can chain-react through the whole base.

  • Jeep launcher

    Fast jeep carrying a mobile missile launcher. Stop convoys before they reach their base.

  • Raider buggy

    Armed dune and ice buggy that races across the map in packs. Quick to kill, hard to hit.

Ships

The Black Tide owns the coast. Hunt it on the water.

  • Patrol gunboat

    Circles its island and rakes the sky with cannon fire. Lead your shots, because it never stops moving.

Air threats

Voss will not give up the sky without a fight.

  • Enemy helicopter

    Enemy gunship that hunts you across the map. Armored and armed. Rockets finish it fast.

  • Jet fighter

    Streaks in without warning and strafes the whole screen. React fast, then shoot it down.

Bosses

Huge machines with several phases and armor that needs real firepower.

  • Boss gunship

    Armored attack helicopter with heavy guns and waves of missiles. It guards the end of the jungle campaign.

  • Siege tank

    Slow, thickly armored tank with a long-range cannon and a rapid-fire second phase. Dodge the shells and keep hitting.

  • Armored train

    A rolling fortress on rails with guns on every car. Chase it down the line and break it car by car.

  • Armored command truck

    The enemy's armored column leader. Stop it before it escapes and its escorts overwhelm you.

  • Fortress core

    The heart of an enemy fortress, shielded by energy pylons. Destroy the pylons first, then crack the core.

  • Voss's gunship

    General Voss's personal gunship. The fastest and deadliest air boss in the game.
